Working exclusively with elders, Memoirs, Inc. has achieved public recognition though interviews on radio and television, as well as in newspapers and magazines. Though we have several writers, our lead memoirist is Mary O'Brien Tyrrell, MPH, BSN, who has worked with hundreds of clients from throughout the United States and Canada. With twenty-five years of gerontology experience, she quickly places clients at ease and engages them in conversation. Ms. Tyrrell is also cofounder of The Legacy Center.

Ms. Tyrrell will be providing a workshop on October 14, 2006 at The Legacy Stories Conference in Sacramento, CA.

Some clients have contracted with our company to provide a memoir for special occasions such as a 75th, 80th, or 90th birthday. We have a special gift package that can be presented to the client for such an event.

Another special occasion might be a 50th or 60th wedding anniversary. We have worked with approximately thirty couples wishing to have their stories published in the same book.

2. Memoirist drafts into story format;

3. Client reviews narrative several times;

4. Narrative is published in hard-covered books; and

5. Books are distributed to family at signing party.
